Visiting Thailand! Population Thailand - 66.8 millions people

I had the plan to be in Thailand for only two weeks but in the end I decided to stay for four weeks. See why :)

Eu tinha o plano de estar na Tailandia somente por duas semanas mas no final, eu decidi ficar por quatro semanas. Veja o porquê :)

First two weeks

BANGKOK and CHIANG MAI

Bangkok is one of the big city in Thailand. The population is around 9 million people.

Chiang Mai is situated in Northern Thailand and is the second largest city in Thailand. The population is around 200,000 people

In both cities I spent most of my time visiting temples and I joined a program to talk to the monks. I would like to understand better their lives.

Bangkok é uma das grandes cidade da Tailândia. A população é de cerca de 9 milhões de pessoas.

Chiang Mai está situado no norte da Tailândia e é a segunda maior cidade da Tailândia. A população é de cerca de 200.000 pessoas

Em ambas cidades passei a maior parte do meu tempo visitando templos e entrei para um programa para falar com os monges. Eu gostaria de entender melhor a vida deles.

There are many children studying in the monastery.
They can start at 6 years old and with 19 years old they can decide whether to continue or not.
They are not obliged to continue, but most of them remain.
At the university they study philosophy, politics, computers and other matters.

The day starts at 3:00 am or 3:30 am
They have the chanting (they don't say pray) together in the morning.
@4:00 am they go out to get foods
They eat whatever they receive from the people.
There also vegetarian monks
They go to school at 1:00pm and at 5:00pm they chant again,
The temple has a leader that read the book and everybody needs to follow him.
They ring the bell and everybody knows that they need to go to the shrine/ temple for the chant
The university costs are paid by their own family or some people make donations

Há muitas crianças que estudam no mosteiro.
Eles podem começar aos 6 anos de idade e com 19 anos de idade eles podem decidir se querem continuar ou não.
Eles não são obrigados a continuar, mas a maioria deles permanecem.
Na universidade eles estudam filosofia, política, computadores e outros assuntos.

O dia começa às 3:00 hrs ou 3:30 hrs da manhã
Eles têm o cantar (eles não dizem rezar) juntos na parte da manhã.
@ 04:00 eles saem para obter alimentos
Eles comem o que eles recebem das pessoas.
Há também monges vegetarianos
Eles vão para a escola às 13:00 hrs e às 17:00 hrs eles cantam de novo,
O templo tem um líder que lê o livro e todo mundo precisa segui-lo.
Eles tocam o sino e todo mundo sabe que eles precisam ir ao santuário / templo para o canto
Os custos universitários são pagos pela própria família ou algumas pessoas fazem doações

Controversy: Do they give drugs or not to the Tigers? I went there and I'm still not 100% sure that they use drugs. I hope that does not happen because I could see them doing some activities and 'playing' with each other.

A polêmica: Será que eles dão drogas ou não aos tigres? Eu fui lá e eu ainda não estou 100% certo que eles usam drogas. Espero que isso não aconteça pois pude ver eles fazendo algumas atividades e 'brincando' um com o outro.
